A collection of 8 Limbs Products
8 Limbs collective, is a collection of products all brought to life by illustration. This illustration can be shown in the use of products like apparel, canvas and web design. All of these products will be brought to life with 8 Limbs collective. Mostly 8 Limbs apparel will be the focus of the products and be the main seller of 8 Limbs. I want to show in these projects that all of my illustrations can be really versatile and can be applied to most things and be aesthetically pleasing at the same time.
The Challenge
The challenge was really trying to find a similar balance between products and trying to keep them in the same style. For when I actually start to create these products for real with 8 Limbs there will be a consistent style and unique characteristics in every project that is sold and displayed.
This project started with me sketching in my note book, the illustration of the dragon first followed by the hand drawn font to suit the style of the illustration. I then brought the sketches into illustrator, then using my wacom tablet I illustrated over the sketches creating the first part of the project. The inspiration for the dragon came from old Japanese sketching of dragons that I can be originally found on wooden blocks. For my target market I want them to get a sense of the animal and transcend the animals spirit almost, into how they train.
